Terms of Service

By creating an account or using IdeaScan ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including those on a free trial, Basic plan, or Premium plan.

IdeaScan is a research tool that searches public online communities and forums to surface user pain points and generate research reports. Reports are intended to assist with market research and ideation. They do not constitute financial, legal, or business advice, and we make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or commercial viability of any findings.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service using your credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to the Service. No payment is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. We reserve the right to modify or end the trial offer at any time for new accounts.

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Paystack in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused scans.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or extract the underlying AI models or prompts.
• Resell or redistribute reports or access to the Service without our written permission.
• Attempt to circumvent scan limits or abuse the trial system by creating multiple accounts.
• Use the Service to generate content intended to harm, defame, or deceive others.

The reports generated by IdeaScan are provided for your personal or business use. You own the output of reports generated under your account.

The IdeaScan brand, product, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not copy, imitate, or use them without our permission.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will be accurate or complete. Market research is inherently uncertain — use reports as one input among many, not as the sole basis for business decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdeaScan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business decisions made based on our reports. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@ideascans.com. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
